Our rates

There is no charge for our initial examination.  Generally, our minimum service fee is $500. Hourly billing for lab time is $200 per hour. Our rate employment/engagement and retainer arrangements are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Quoted fees are considered retainer. All retainers are non-refundable.  These rates are current as of January 1, 2026.

Audio Clarification

$500 minimum.  Recordings exceeding 60 minutes in length or requiring extensive treatment may be subject to additional billing at $200 per hour.
Testimony and report not included.

Forensic Transcription

$500 minimum.  Recordings exceeding extensive treatment may be subject to additional billing at $200 per hour.
Testimony not included.

$1,000 minimum.  Recordings requiring extensive treatment may be subject to additional billing at $200 per hour.
Testimony not included.

File Synchronization

$500 minimum.  Recordings exceeding 60 minutes in length or requiring extensive treatment may be subject to additional billing at $200 per hour.

Court Testimony, Deposition, Consulting

$1500-$2000 per full day.  Testimony, deposition and consulting outside of Oregon are quoted on a case by case basis.  Many cities require a two day minimum.  First class travel, business class hotels, car rental, food and other expenses will be collected in advance.  All testimony fees are collected ten days in advance and are non-refundable.  Date changes are at the discretion of Precision Audio Forensics, LLC. Additional billing may apply for cancellations, changes and unforeseen circumstances.
